Event Note
Casualty Details Emrys and Sheila Williams visited Dougie's grave on Wednesday 20 April 2011, and left some flowers to show someone still remembered him. The cemetery was very well kept, green and peaceful. We parked at the crematorium (northeast corner of the cemetery) and walked, but is is possible to drive right up to the graves. The geotag in the photos shows the exact grave location. The memorial to the victims of the V-weapons in Antwerp, 1944-1945, is in the adjacent plot in the cemetery, for Belgian soldiers, but it honours Dougie too. |
