Dear Emrys,

1. Yes Ivor and Brenda are both children of May and Jimmy Fielder.
Mum says Brenda Fielder married David Webster who lost his legs in the war. They had a son Vincent. Brenda and David were divorced and Brenda married again - unknown, and had no more children. She believes Ivor was married and possibly had 2 sons.

2. John Williams definitely married Blanche Blandford. Their 2 children were indeed Edith Maud and Nona Gwladys, known as Maudie and Nona.

So yes I think your BMDs are right.

Family gossip from Mum has it that Maudie married, divorced then married Arthur ? and there was a daughter who may have been Arthur's from prev relationship.
Nona (naughty Nona!!) Mum thinks married (possibly John?) Unwin, had a son Johnny Unwin who was a chauffeur to the diplomatic corps. Nona also possibly had 2 daughters with a married man, possibly one named Vivienne(or Valerie if you read on?).
Attached photo of Johnny Unwin's wedding, not very clear I'm afraid. On the back it says: 1. Jean's sister in law. 2.Jean's brother. 3.Between Blanche. (I think this means between the first 2). 4. John. 5. Nona's (indecipherable possibly Maynard?) boy. 6. Nona. 7. Johnny. 8. Jean. Next Jean's Dad & Mum & friends bridesmaids. ?(other?) boy is Jean's youngest brother. Behind him is Valerie Nona's daughter. I tried to scan the back but it wouldn't scan legibly. There is a stamp on the back of a date which appears to be Oct 64 but could be Oct 60-something else.
So perhaps Nona's dau was Valerie? And a son rather than another dau? A tangled web indeed.

3. Peg (Margaret Elizabeth). Mum thinks she and Reg were married but we have no evidence of this fact. Alan Wood - Mum went to his funeral but can't remember when that was. However I shall be going to Maghull to see Mum this week and will ask about where he was living when he died and whether she knows anything about where he was born. (It is a lot easier to speak to Mum face to face as she has problems hearing over the phone!) I do know their ages were very close. She may also remember his birthday.

4. Stephen Alexander Lucy died in August 1944 at the age of 23 so 1921 would be right for his birth. Attached obit & cemetery record. He was clearly highly regarded.

5. Delwen - sorry I have probably misspelt this name before! Delwen Eirlys I think. I have only been in email contact briefly and recently so do not really know about her family, other than what Mum has said: married Ian Wilkinson, 3 sons and 1 daughter. I don't know if this is accurate. Mum also noticed that her Christmas card was signed Delwen & Dominic only and wondered what that implied.
According to Mum, Vera was previously married to an airman who died in the war.

All for now.
