Narrative
Peggy was Ivor Fielder's first wife. Ivor Fielder, in a phone call with EJWilliams on 6 Apr 2009, said that Peggy Purvis Worked at Bletchley park for 4 years in the war. Out of 12000 people there, she actually knew only 3. After that she worked at the Citadel under Whitehall for a year. She only told Ivor this after many, many years.
Narrative
Her father took a chain of 20 hairdresser's shops in exchange for a bad debt and gave 8 shops to Peggy and 12 shops to her sister, putting Peggy into the hairdressing business. IF says that Peggy was busy with that and IF was busy with cigars and they led separate lives and grew apart. IF met Maureen at a party on 31 Dec 1969. Maureen was married before too. He was studying for a fellowship at the Institute of Purchasing and Supply at the time.
Narrative
According to Ivor Fielder, Peggy has had cancer since 2007 and is very unwell in 2010. Barry still lives with her.
